Counselling Fees and Attendance

I offer both short and long term counselling. It is your decision how many sessions you want to have, although I would suggest 6-8 sessions initially, in order for us to establish a relationship of trust and understanding. In long term counselling the number of sessions is regularly reviewed as is the work we commit to together.


Confidentiality

Confidentiality is a very important part of therapy. I adhere to the BACP's Code of Ethics on confidentiality. This means I will keep everything that is said and takes place in the counselling room confidential. The only exceptions are:

If there is a disclosure of an ongoing abuse/neglect of a child or vulnerable adult

If I consider there is a danger to yourself or others

In situations where there is a legal obligation to do so. (eg under the Terroism Act 2000)

Fees

My fees are:

Harley Street: £90 per session
City and Islington: £50 per session

Fees are payable at the end of each session or per month by cheque in advance if this is preferred.

Each session lasts 50 minutes


Attendance

It is important to attend regularly in order for the counselling to be effective. I take time off throughout the year, normally Easter, Christmas and in the Summer. I will let you know in advance of any holidays I am taking.

Cancellations

Where possible please inform me at leat one week in advance if you will not be able to attend the next session. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice then I will charge the full amount for the session.

It is generally considered beneficial to end your counselling sessions by mutual agreement rather than an impulsive action

Dramatherapy Fees

Dramatherapy fees vary subject to day, half day or sessional work. The fees also vary for one to one or group work. For further information please contact me at info@petefreeman.co.uk.
